New Initiative Takes Practitioner Training On the Road in Russia and Turkey

CooperVision Turkey hosts training roadshows in various cities nationwide

CooperVision Russia and Turkey are taking training for eye care practitioners on the road nationwide. Russia is targeting more than 1,000 eye care practitioners (ECPs) and business owners nationwide including Moscow and Saint Petersburg, among several others. In Turkey, the new roadshow initiative includes training sessions in three major cities: Izmir, Istanbul and Ankara.

The roadshows are aimed at ECPs to boost their business profitability through financial education and patient retention. As part of the training,

leading industry experts and physicians are delivering interactive lectures and seminars in both countries on topics ranging from contact lens comfort management to proper fitting techniques.

In Russia, participating ECPs are learning about a number of topics ranging from clinical cases of patient discomfort to CooperVision products aimed at comfort for wearers. ECPs are also learning how CooperVision products and services can address the growing needs of patients with myopia and presbyopia.

The seminars in each Russian city brought great excitement and positive response from participants. Some launched CooperVision balloons, others recited a poem, and everyone had an opportunity to take a memorable photo.

In Turkey, local key opinion leaders Professor Zeynep Ozbek, Dr. Nami Torunoglu, Dr. Bulent Barlas, and Dr. Afsun Sahin delivered lectures on comfort management, XR range fitting, and shared their experiences on fitting CooperVision products.

The lectures were interactive and clinical content was robust to meet ophthalmologists’ scientific expectations. A presentation by ACE Professional Development Manager Karl Aberdeen highlighted CooperVision’s broad product portfolio.

The roadshow in Turkey concluded with a talk by Brand and Professional Affairs Manager Bulent Çakır, who discussed the company’s refreshing perspective with doctors and opticians nationwide.

The participation level in Russia was extremely high with some cities experiencing double the expected attendance. The Turkey team plans to reach 480 opticians and 250 doctors across 24 cities nationwide in the coming months.
